want to move the tower, and other stuff

i am wanting to move my computer tower and other computer parts in the closet to get some more room, is that even a safe idea, it does have good air flow. my only big question is where do i get a wire longer for between the tower and the monitor? then i have a lcd tv that i want to put the power wire in the wall do they make longer ones? i really didnt want to do a drop cord i am a bit weri of the tv getting fried because of not using the right wire and i dont think my land lord will let me put a outlet behind the tv on the wall

If the closet is going to be closed I would definately recommend against it.
