View Full Version : How do I reset the dish 6000?
I was talking with a dishtech CSR about my 8psk problem and he said we were going to do a memory reset on the receiver. But we got cut off before I could find out what the heck that meant. Don't feel like waiting on the phone anymore today; so what is a memory reset? And how does one accomplish it on the dish 6000?

Is it the same as for the other dish receivers (info, right, left, tv/video)? I don't want to mess up the receiver.

It goes something like menu -> system Setup #6 -> Disanostics #3 -> "info button" -> "right arrow" -> "left arrow" -> "info button"
Note you have to hit the info right left fairly quicly to get in to memory dump and device status screen. Then, pressing info again will give you the message that NV ram will be cleared on power off.

wonder if a reset would cure my 8vsb problems? have one local digital channel, although it was showing black screen. Signal is 87-95 but i cleared my locals thinking i had a problem. Now I cannot get the channel to save to my local list. (I called the station engineer 5-10 and he was going to see if it was on their end)
