HR21 replacement

You could get either and you could receive any HR2x.

I'm curious as well. My HR21-700 has gone bad and now I have new unit on the way as well. Would like a 22 or 23 for the larger HD but I will be happy with one that works right.

It all depends on what's on top of the stack in your regional fulfillment center when they process the shipment order. One person may get a refurbished HR20, the next a new HR22 and the third a refurb HR21. I think it's less likely to get a new unit as a replacement, but it has happened on occasion.

An HR20 would be considered by most people to be a comparable DVR. It has the OTA tuners built in, rather than needing a separate module (AM21) for OTA access. Other than that, there are no major differences between the two units.

If I do get sent a HR20, I will just ship it back. I need a black one. That is the reason I got one before was because of the color and the bigger hard drive. It goes with my bedroom decor lol.

Their idea of what "comparable" means is probably not the same as your definition of the word. If it works, be happy. I'd take a 20-700 in a heartbeat.

Yes, FedEx does have Saturday delivery for certain deliveries. Good luck.
