Is it just me or has D did someting to degrade the audio and video this past week?
The video is now lacking detail and contrast, blooming, skin tones off. Prior to this Tuesday the video was very good.
Audio now lost its dynamics, sound hollow with lisping, tinny sounding.
I have 3 fairly new Sony TV's with 3 boxes and they all sound/look the same regarding degradation. I checked some neighbors' systems and they stated the same.
Neighbors with cable also say the same has happened! I checked them out and sure enough the video/audio seem to have the same issues at DTV.
What happened?

What happened? That's a pretty general statement. Are you seeing this problem on all channels? I haven't noticed anything with my HR20. So it could be sun spots.

Yes, I see it on all channels, neighbors also see it, another family member 20 miles away also sees the degradation. I only have SD and older Sony SAT-B3 receivers but everything was just great 5 days ago!
What is interesting is that the local cable also went down hill at the same time. I'm not sure where they get their programs from, but it was great last weekend with great picture detail, contrast and sound and now everything looks washed out, cartoonish.

How does this affect picture and sound quality on all channels?

Sun spots don't affect any satellite channels. I think he was just joking.
