I installed a SWM switch at my current house but will be moving soon. With DirecTV's mover program, do you think they'll send out a SWM dish or should I just disconnect my SWM switch and bring it with me? I only have one cable coming down from the dish (the switch is mounted up beneath the eave of my roof, right next to the dish) so if someone new comes in and wants DirecTV, they'll have to have a SWM as well, or run a bunch of new cables.
Ideally, I'd like a SWM dish, but won't go buy one myself, I can just bring along my switch...

I would take your SWM with you.
I believe the SWMline dishes are still only being used on new customer installs.

Yes, take your SWM with you. SWMs are only used in some areas with no guarantee as Directv's systems automatically add it if available with no option by the customer support reps to override.
P.S. Movers orders can be set up with a SWM dish as long as they are being installed in your area and all of the equipment is SWM compatible (same conditions apply as above). It does not just have to be on a new install.

Just did the move and they installed the SWM SL3. I do have 4 HR20/21 boxes though. I would imagine if you had all SWM capable boxes they'd want to go that route.
I had a SWM SL3 LNB just in case though. I only have 1 coax entering the house and wanted them to use that.

Based on whats listed in your sig:
Inside: HR20(2), H20-100(1), Sony SAT-T60(1), old SD receivers(2),
You will never see a SWM LNB on the install. Not until the Sony and the other 2 SD boxes are deactivated.
If those were to be replaced by D12s or H2x/HR2x/R22s then yes you may get one.
I'd take your swm with you. If you don't need it you can always sell it.
