Unless I am mistaken I've discovered one fix in the new 1.95 software update. It's when the guide is up and has been forwarded to the point where it has to download more info. Where before it muted the sound to whatever show was on during the download. But now the sound stays on.

Pressing Pause over Caller ID window was enabled in the previous version (I think). It drove me nuts especially when listening to a music channel without tv on. Phone rings, you press pause and it is not working.

llunken777, that could be a change but I think it depends on the receiver being tuned to a channel on the same transponder as the EEPG.
The Pause over CallerID change was made in P168.

Is the 24 hour advance on the guide new or am I just starting to learn the equipment? When the guide is up, if I press the frame advance button on the remote it take you 24 hours ahead. If this is old news, my apologies for wasting your time.

Yep, we've had this for quite a while. Since version 158 I believe.

You may also advance it ahead to whatever number of hours in the guide your want by simply pressing the amount of hours on the number pad and then immediately press the Browse button

Killjoy Sam, once you've moved ahead in the guide the 'skip back' button will move you 24 hours back. This was added 11/01 in P135. See the 501/508 User Guide Supplement (http://ekb.dbstalk.com/291) for more "old news" ;) that may not be in your manual.
