Since Cable Vision is coming out with with their R/L Rainbow service at 61.5 and will only require a 13 inch dish vs. the 18 inch dish DirecTv and Dish300, it would be a third less. Since Phased arrays for the 18 inch dish is only 12"x16" then can that be reduced a third less as well down to 8"x10" ?
I wouldn't worry about R/L until they get a bird up
I doubt R/L will use a 13" dish, assuming they actually launch a service. A 13" dish on any modern DBS service would require a much lower FEC rate, which means less bandwidth available for channels. With double power, the difference between a 13" dish and 18" dish could be as high five channels per transponder.

Their service is using a higher power satellite than the DBS satellites that are up now.
