Anybody know when D* is going to do the next software update? Are they on a regular schedule or just random? I notice that some channels don't have logos on the guide (MLBN, Golf, Sportsman Channel and FSN affiliates), even though they added logos for almost all of the rest a few weeks ago.

i got the HR22 if that makes a difference.
they are totally random, but i would think that there will be a new release soon.
Should be a new release soon for the HR2x receivers as there is a Release Candidate in testing. I would say as soon as a week to a couple weeks away.

Aren't the logos sent down with guide data?

No, they are in the firmware.

Channel logos are tiny images. All of the logos together don't take up any more than 1-2MB.

All you did was re-download the software you already had.

The reboot is what fixed it, not re-downloading the software.

What receiver ? Actually you can find number of blocks [4KB] for each model/version at Doug site www.redh.com/dtv

For those of you who don't know how to do the necessary conversions from the info on Doug's site, the HR2x firmware is a little under 16MB in size.
Quick, so how long should a download take and compare that to how long it does take, quick! :)

Technically, the time it "should" take is the time it takes, as long as your signal strength is good enough and the receiver doesn't have to wait for blocks to be re-sent because they were corrupted.
As far as how long that actually is, I've never timed it.
