Hey gents,

Just bought another receiver for my guest room and need some advice. I have a Slimline SWM LNB with an 8 way splitter and a Zinwell WB68 available to use. The WB68 is currently in use until I can figure out what to do. Below is what I am working with;

1. HR20-700
2. HR20-700
3. R15-300
4. D11-500
5. D10-300
6. H21-200

This takes 9 lines to operate. And as you can see, I also have 3 receivers that won't work with the SWM. Before I go replacing receivers that still work, can I somehow use the WB68 and the SWM LNB together? Any input would be greatly be appreciated.

There is no way to use a SWM LNB and conventional multiswitch together.

The only option if you wanted to use SWM technology with the WB68 is to get a SWM-8 Module and parallel that with the WB68 using 4 splitters.

Just to clarify what Grentz said, you would need a conventional LNB, with a SWM-8 module and WB68 in parallel.

He will also need to replace the LNB assembly with one with four outputs.

Correct.

He will also need to replace the LNB assembly with one with four outputs.

Sounds like that is what he is already using with the WB68.

No, he currently is using the WB68

The WB68 is currently in use until I can figure out what to do.

He has a SWMLNB that he obviously has not setup, just the LNB sitting in a box.

For example. I have a SWM LNB currently in use and I have a regular LNB ;)

But here he says:

So who knows. Hopefully he will post again?

He has one available to use cause it is the one he is currently using! :p

Who knows, hopefully he comes back and clarifies further.

I still have the 4 output slimline LNB installed and connected to the WB68. The SWM LNB is on standby.

Sounds like I might need the SWM 8 module instead. I was just wondering if I could have used what I had.

Thanks for the feedback.
