Me thinks me needs a trip back to HS:confused:

When using the GJullian website [that Litzdog has in his sig] for satellite positioning

They list 3 different sun angles, for different dates and list
the sun position is......... [looks like correct Az and EL] for my location
the sun is at sat Az ....
the sun is at sat EL ....
But have different values

are all three usable or do you really need only the first
I ran it from 2 differenf comps, both XP and got diffing values
thanks

Based on your location, the sun will be at the satellite's azimuth location at a different time than the satellite's elevation location. Only in early March and October does the sun actually sweep across the satellite locations.

Thanks L..D..
Kinda thought it was heading in that direction [litterally]:D

At least I can get an Idea on Az, as I am lined up with a tower for a reference point

btw,
didn't know if i should have resurected your old thread, so MODS can move it there if need be
thanks, Rick
