Moxi

Hey Scott, I believe I read somewhere on Moxi's site that the wireless would be 802.11a not 802.11b. Anyway thanks for keeping up with the info on this, as you, I have been waiting for the 721, now it looks like an even longer wait for a Moxi equiped unit. Unless we are lucky enough to have them announce that Dish will be able to upgrade the 721 once Dish is ready to start using Moxi!!

I doubt that Dish will offer an upgrade for 721 owners due the costs involved (I would be shocked if they offered an upgrade for a MOXI or 721 for Dishplayer owners)

If I was Dish I would not release the 721 or better yet I would drop the PVR-50x line of boxes as their receivers are now way behind what DirecTV has with Ultimate TV and DirecTIVOS.

Its hard to understand why a dual tuner DirecTivo is $79 and a Single tuner Dish PVR 508 is $499.

They are probably going to charge the extra to begin with to offset all the calls that the unit will require for Technical assistance and trouble shooting

The PVR-50x series are pricey, I really wouldn't compare these to DirectTivo's. I think our only comparison will be with the 721.....well maybe not, cause the 721 will have features a DirectTivo doesn't ......*sigh*
