Angel Renewed

Sorry, don't have direct article links, but the Futon Critic, Ain't It Cool News, and Zap2It are all reporting that Angel has been renewed. It will remain at the 9 PM slot on Wednesdays. Smallville is being moved to Wednesdays at 8 PM.

James Masters will be joining the cast as a regular. However, Charisma Carpenter will probably not be returning as a regular.

So two Vampires with a Soul? I love the Spike Character and the Angel Character, but that dosen't sound so great? Unless they are keeping Marters employed in hopes of a Spike (or Faith spinoff) in a year or so). I guess Spike is tooo good a character to lose.

If I recall correctly, Spike was "sired" by Angel. The only difference is that Angel had over 100 years of having a soul, while for Spike, about a year.

If written write, this will prove interesting.

Spike was Sired by Drusilla (who was hanging out with Angel and his girlfriend)

I also read that Cordilia will not be a regular cast member. Will be interesting to see if she has any role in the show, or if she will be written off.

Probably taking time off for the new baby. Maybe she will ascend again and make those short pithy quips that were in the series early on. She could also just be a voice that Angel hears and then she could phone in her part!
