My first attempt (more or less after a couple of resets and satellite setup) Perhaps a waste of space and your time, but had to proclaim it here as when I told my wife she just gave me that look like a dog does when you talk to it, like being puzzled. There are so many wires going everywhere I'm just stupified everything works, the parallel swm and wb6x16, the diplexing. You guys rock!! (and suck for costing so much time and money) A far cry from 2 years ago when I was stuck with Comcasts Motorola POS's

i little word of wisdom for you.....
put your power inserter on a UPS.
the swm and power inserters do not like losing power.

>>AU9 w/ Zinwell 6x16 parallel with SWM8

 Not trying to be obtuse here, but I'm wondering why you went to the bother of a parallel arrangement?

According to your sig, you have four DVRs and 3 receivers? You could have just fed the SWM8 from four of the outputs on the WB616, and still have had plenty of leftover connections. No need for the 4 splitters, extra cabling, etc. etc. I use that exact configuration here and it works fine.

Just curious.

Originally it was my plan to cascade the swm8 off the 6x16, but when I went through the weaknees site, they didn't have a cascaded diagram. I just figured that parallel was the "approved" method, and I didn't really mind doing the extra stuff for parallel. also, I'll probably replace the 6x16 with another swm8 someday.

Cascading isn't recommended for the WB68, which is not a powered multiswitch. It shouldn't be an issue for the WB616, which is powered.
