I've just been upgraded to GREEN TOO!!!
I've got my license to WOW!!!
I think this will sell big time.
Yeah, I know more evidence of Dish giving all the deals to new Subs and screwing old ones, but new subs can use this deal to refer more CLUBDish credits. Just 2 ClubDish credits makes huge difference on your bill.

Having promotions to lure new customers does not equate with "screwing old ones."

Every DISH NW customer has had or has had the opportunity to have a promotional deal to get started. Sometimes they seem better than other times, sometimes they seem worse.

They all amount to huge Customer Aquisition Costs to E* that mean it takes years before the company even breaks even on the customer.

And old subs do get a break now & then when new technology like PVRs come out.

If you want to be a successful satellite dealer, jeffwtux you ought to learn the economics & adjust your attitude.

Get AT100/HBO/Cinamax for three months and then down grade to AT50, this will only cost you the $5 downgrade fee after three months, still a good deal.:)

Cool!

Now my question is what about that big ol' SuperDish. This thing is a good deal now, but it leads to two dishes that wont work new HD channels.

HTGuy:
I think you didn't read that post right. As a dealer I LOVE PROMOTIONS LIKE THIS. People on this forum frequently complain about screwing the existing customers. I'm saying that this makes it eaiser to get referrals which DOES benefit current subscribers. Read the post before you bash. You just pulled one line WAY OUT OF CONTEXT.

This promotion gives the customers with a credit card something extra for having credit on top of the free system whereas those without credit will still get the free system with Free For All just not the free programming as well.

In other words its something to entice customers to use their credit card and they get the reward for being lower risk customers.
