Hooking up cable to 622

Have a question. With my old receivers I could hook my cable up to the receiver and I could switch back and forth between the dish and my basic cable I get with my internet. The 622 doesn't seem to support this, it seems like it can only support an over the air antenna.
Is this a correct assumption? If not what am I doing wrong? Is there any of the newer Dish receivers that you can hook up the cable instead of OTA?

The 622/722 only support the over-the-air antenna, you cannot connect cable to it, it has no pass-through for the cable.
