Archer Learns of a Plan to Destroy Earth on the Season Finale of UPN's "ENTERPRISE" (05/21/03)

"The Expanse" - When a mysterious and deadly force emerges from the far reaches of the galaxy threatening to destroy all of humanity, Enterprise, the only Earth vessel with the ability and technology to confront this new menace, sets out on its new mission - saving Earth, on the chilling season finale of ENTERPRISE, Wednesday, May 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN. Allan Kroeker directed the episode from a script by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.

Meanwhile, T'Pol is given a direct order from the Vulcans and must choose between her duty to her high command and Enterprise. Also, the Klingons, who are bent on destroying Archer, continue their hot pursuit of Enterprise all the way into the expanse.

So as not to spoil the spoiler...

How in the world (oh, right Enterprise writers) can any reasonably intelligent person expect one ship to stop a major attack on a planet. That would be like having one Iraqi T-72 tank stop the U.S. invasion... btw, I do like the show, but this is a VERY big stretch...

not v'ger, but as mentioned in another thread, a direct ripoff of JMS's crusade show...if there were true justice in this world, rick berman would be sent back to the paramount mail room from whence he emerged-WHY paramount hasn't realized that he is divested of all original thought, esp where trek is concerned, is beyond me...

Here is a more detailed article from Zap2It. It does contain minor spoilers:

'Enterprise' Blasts Into Its Season Finale (http://tv.zap2it.com/news/tvnewsdaily.html?31608)

To me, it's going to be Enterprises last stand for me. They might make me interested in watching the show for a third season. I'll have the mods put up a poll after Wednesday's episode.

Hmmmm.......

I'm still on the bubble on this series. It looks interest, sounds interest, but.... haven't I heard this before?

We'll have to see with the series premiere. But it's not looking too good folks.

As the SNL scottish guy would have said....It's CRRRRRAP!

Okay...so was anyone on the edge of their seat with Duras? What a POS!!!!! Some one needs to take the writing staff and turn THEM inside out! How can you take a concept with so much promise and choke all the life out of it like this series has!

ARGH! And what's worse is I'm a friggin' junkie...no matter how bad it is, I have to get my fix! but when I watch ever since the Borg episode it's like watching a car crash! I'm horrified!

See ya
Tony

I guess the plan is for them to spend the next season in the scary expanse and try to come up with original shows since who knows what lurks in the expanse. It will be a bit like voyager with constant changing stuff but they will be able to go back to earth any time they want (well 3 months of travel later).

I like the cast and characters, but now we just need something for them to do that is interesting. First season was the time war, that did not work out so was put on the back burner, second season was TNG season seeming like endless rehash of TNG problems. The third season looks like it is shaping up to be the Voyager season.

From Zap2It: "Enterprise" finished its season with a 4.4/7 on UPN. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" staked a 4.7/7.

Well, lets see, it connected the dots of whatever happenned with the borgs in the first place, then it is explaining some parts of the trek history that werent explained before... hmm... adding a bit of spice here and there, I love this series, this is the oen that I wanted to extract from my 508 to record it in dvd's ;)
