As of today I'm getting constant Signal errors. I'll be watching tv and an error message will pop up saying that the satellite signal has been lost. But if I change the channel and then change right back it will work fine for a while. This is happening with channels on all satellites (110,119, and 61.5 from a wing dish). I checked the point dish screen and all satellites are pulling in adequate signal. I ran a check switch test and it came back okay. I don't know what could be causing it. Perhaps the receiver is just going bad.

It could also be a bad cable connection or LNB problem.

I don't see how it could be LNB related since I'm getting the same error for channels picked up from all three LNBs (two on 1000, one on the 500). I'll look over the cable running from my dish 1000 to the receiver to see if I can find any signs of damage.

Hit the Swap button and see if the other tuner is on an OTA channel. If so, change that channel to a sat. channel, then Swap back.

This may have done the trick. Thanks for the tip. If it acts up again I'll report back.

I've had it happen many times as a couple of my OTA channels are weak. Changing the 2nd tuner has always fixed the problem.

Good tip. I've had to do that in the past as well. I notice that if I'm watching an OTA channel and it drops signal, all the tuners buffers get flushed. Dish needs to do some work in that area; yeah, right!
