I am super confused on this Zinwell wb68 box! I looked through the other threads and I still just do not understand! I am really good with computers, electrical and such and such but this completely stumps me... I noticed on another thread that a user had said that you need to hook all four cables from the dish to the box... Well as of right now I have ONE wire directly from the dish to a local store splitter. Anyway's if I only have one wire what's going on? I'm pretty sure that I have the 3lnb hd dish...

Hang on a second ... first and foremost - welcome to DBSTalk!

I have a few questions/statements ...

#1 What is it you are trying to accomplish?

#2 Random splitters should *never* be used with a DirecTV system. They are used in very specific cases only, and even in those cases, there are very specific splitters to be used.

What problem are we trying to solve? That will definitely help us help you.

Thanks!

Wow amazingly quick response!! Thanks for the welcoming! Whenever I switched from reg dish to hd dish I only had one hdbox so all I needed was direct from the satellite to the receiver box. The directv guy gave me the wb68 and said this is for future receiver boxes. Well I just got a new hd tv for the bedroom and I am trying to split a line into there. I bought a signal extender so I would be able to use the box in the living room in place. Hope I have given enough information to be helped :D!

This is all based on the assumption that you do not have an SWM LNB.

Your dish should have 4 outputs available. You can run those lines directly to the receivers (with no splitters or signal extenders of any kind). If you have a DVR, you will need to run two lines to it. Your other option is to connect all four lines to the inputs of the WB68 and then run the outputs of the WB68 directly to your receivers (once again with no splitters or signal extenders of any kind). You will still need to run two lines to any DVR.

Ok, it makes a little more sense to me now... I would have to disconnect the head to make sure it had four hook ups. I have the slimline... I only have one hd box at the moment and wanted to use the box in the living room from my bedroom, therefore I was going to use the IRsignal extender so my remote control would work from my room to the living room. I was going to hook the rg6 from my room to the wb68 therefore I could be watching whatever was on in the living room... and change channels via the remote extender

I was going to hook the rg6 from my room to the wb68 therefore I could be watching whatever was on in the living room... and change channels via the remote extenderThat won't work. You can only use the lines from the Dish or WB68 to feed a DirecTV receiver, not to distribute signals from one box to multiple TV's.

You're going to need to connect a RF Modulator (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103095) to the DirecTV box and then run a cable from the modualtor to the new TV. However, that will only send a SD signal to the other TV.
