Software Update at 5:30pm !?

All my HR2x receivers just started downloading a new software update a few minutes ago, which is great.... I like updates.

But why now at 5:30pm est ??
I thought updates are always done at 2,3,4am ??
Did someone flip the switch by mistake ?

i just tried to turn on the tv and my HR22 is updating itself too right now. seems odd, i guess its too important to wait til 3 am. i was having guide data glitches this morning, lots of timeslots were blank for the current time. so whats in this new firmware? its still downloading.

Yea. I really like it when I'm in the middle of watching something and it reboots without warning.

Thanks DTV.... this is only like 5 times now in the past few months you've picked a time to reboot while I was watching something.

Same here but only my HR20-700 and not my HR20-100... Yet

Both of mine are updating now. My HR20 is loading 02CB and my HR22 is loading 02bBO, I think.

Folks, I'm closing this thread because there is already one in the HD DVR forum. We're working now to see what the update is all about.
