I have to move my dish because of growing trees and brush in my neighbors yard. Currently my dish is pole mounted. The only place I can mount it is on my roof. I live in the Northwest and during the winter the snow pile up on the dish only takes a broom to clear. What can I do about this if the dish is on the roof? Could I put a heating element on the back of the dish?
Thanks for the info
Jerry

A heating element is probably your best bet, but a Dish cover may also do the job.

I agree. There is a dish cover with a heater in it that will melt the snow and ice off of the dish. I hear Spam also works well.

I live in the Spokane area also. My dish is mounted on the roof. I put a heater on it a about two years ago and it solved all the problems. I did not use a cover. I need the heater about twice a year.
