I didn't catch this at first, but I have noticed several times now that there is no screen saver since 1.11 downloaded. I have rebooted several times with it still not appearing. It is not good to have a still picture on your screen for any length of time (ie if in pause mode or guide left showing). Anyone else notice the same happening?

Now that you mention it, yes. It didn't dawn on me that when I was paused for about 20 minutes last night, the screen saver never kicked in.
I coulda ended up with Dave Letterman's face burned into my 36"!
Yep! It is Maze Withdrawals. :)
You know, the other day I went out for like an hour and came back turned the TV on, and noticed the PVR paused and I was like, hmmm why isn't that in the screen saver..
So much for progress, 2 steps forward 1 step back..

I just stumbled on it too. was watching a tape and left the receiver on. Stoped the tape and "hey, shouldn't that be a screen saver"
Oh crap......
No screen saver here too.
This is not good.:(
But maybe it's why Charlie showed us how to buy a new TV many months ago on the Tech Chat.
I wonder who he is getting the 'kick-back' from...
Circuit City or Sony? :D

The screen saver is also gone from my unit (which is running beta software) I never noticed it was gone until I read it here. How about that? :D
Scott,
Can you bring this to the attention of the betatesting team and hopefully they will be able to fix this before the next software release? We really need to have some type of screen saver for anyone that has a projection screen!
Seems like the screensaver took a while to come on, maybe there should be a time adjustment for it ??

This "secret" update business is now bordering on irresponsible and possibly destructive. The only reason we know anything about these "updates" is because of this website. E* needs to tell us what they are doing before someone loses some expensive equipment. Why don't the beta folks even know what is going on? Who has Charlie's email address?

Ah...for this release don't you mean 1 step forward and 2 steps back?

No i think it had a screen saver but didn't have all the linux ones just the floating dish logo.

yeah, that sounds right
I forgot about the floating logo
If they put it back how about a selector. I'd wager I use more Unix than anyone else around here, but that doesn't mean I want my PVR set to random X Window screen savers.
Same problem here...I noticed the wife paused Oprah and went to the grocery store...about 15 minutes after she left Oprah's face was still frozen on the monitor.
I just turned off the monitor, but that could have been a bad thing.
