CBS makes bold moves for fall season (http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/14/cbs.new.season.ap/index.html)

...some bold changes in the fall, moving two of its most popular shows and adding seven series, including three crime-fighting dramas...

... new series include Joe Pantoliano, the actor who lost his head in "The Sopranos," as an FBI agent...

CBS is also abandoning comedy on Sundays for "Cold Case," a drama about a Philadelphia detective assigned to track unsolved crimes. Jerry Bruckheimer, the same person behind "CSI" and "Without a Trace," is the creator.

"The Agency" was canceled, with "Hack" moving to Saturday night.

I know 'Philly' has been gone for a while now, but 'Hack' and this new 'Cold Case' are set here, as is/was some other show last season. Hack is even filmed almost entirely here, including both the interior and exterior shooting.

I wonder why Philly has been often chosen as a locale for so many recent movies and shows? I guess the local 'film board' or whatever their official name is is doing a good job selling the city. Hack filmed all over the city and really used local names and neighborhoods accurately. They've filmed right near my house, and right near my business. I ended up out at a cemetery working right before they set up for a scene used in season finale.

One of my wife's students was even an extra in one episode.

Can you tell I'm glad 'Hack' is back? (Hey, it's the only hack talk allowed around here ;) )
