Hello all
I just wanted to say hello and share a new member/HD upgrade story I thought you might get a kick out of. I have been a D* subscriber for about 6 yrs now and have overall been satisfied with the service. When we upgraded our tv it seemed like the best way to do, and we have not really had any issues.
Anyway, here is my old setup
20" single coax input 15 yr old GE tube tv
SD Hughes Director pack (svid out) and DVD (svid out) connected to an auto 4 input switch unit to the coax input
New setup
sharp Aquos 42" 1080P
Directv HR22-100 dvr connected via hdmi
Same DVD, but now connected via component.
Talk about a jump into the 21st century! Anyway, I just thought I would say, as I have been nozing around here and learning for a while and as long as the issue I post about in the next message gets resolved, I will be here and learning more.
