View Full Version : Problem with one of two receivers
I have two HR20s. The one in the bedroom has pixelated reception on many of the HD channels and two that I think are non HD. Nevertheless, the reception is fine on all the channels in the living room, so the satellite dish must be OK. I don't remember it being like this from the beginning but I never watched much in the bedroom so it may have been bad all along. Is it the receiver in the bedroom or the cabling or what do you think?

What are your signal strenghts on that receiver in the bedroom? An easy way to determine if the receiver is bad would be to switch the two and see what happens. It very well could be a bad connection, cable or multiswitch if you have one.
Swapping the two will not cause any issues with the card, etc? If it won't I think that would be the easiest test. Thanks.

Oh yes, what is a multiswitch, and where would it be?

Swapping receivers will not cause any issues with the cards. A multiswitch is located between the dish and the receivers.
Check your signal strenghts on both receivers before swapping for comparison purposes.
