NFL Sunday Ticket Question

My brother in law has D* and for some unkown reason wants to go back to cable but wants to keep the NFL Sunday Ticket package. I'm a happy E* customer so I don't know much about D*. Anyone know if it is possible to cancel your subscription to D* but still get NFL ala-carte? My apologies if this is in another thread, I looked but couldn't find this anywhere. Thanks.

At least a couple of years ago, you could subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket a la carte. The NFL was insistent that customers be able to get the package without having to subscribe to anything else or pay an access fee. I'm not sure if it still applies, but my best guess is that it does.
