Finally a manufacture that will spruce up the software displays of the current Echostar units.

I see this as a big step forward by Charlie. He is now seeing that Echostar can not make everything. I congradulate Charlie for taking this step.

I wonder how long till we hear about a DishTivo? :D

Thats GREAT!!.....Does RCA make a DirectTivo box?.....I thought it was just Sony and Hughes.

John C you are correct RCA does not currently make Tivo's, my thought was that if Dish is opening up its doors to RCA and MOXI, who else could be coming soon.

Great move by Charlie (and I mean it too!)

Doesn't RCA make some of the 2 tuner Ultimatetvs?

WOW! I never thought that would happen before the merger.

So that means we could have Ultimate TV for E*. Sort of a Dishplayer II that should work better.:)

Yes. RCA makes an UltimateTV receiver (as does Sony), and yes it is a dual tuner PVR. They also announced a new model which will have an 80 GB hard drive that will hold up to 70 hours of programming. It should be on the market within the next few months. I have an UltimateTV reciever and a RCA 420 standard receiver. Both have been reliable. A good move for Dish Network.
