I have installed a slimline SL3 with no problem before this time I dont know if its alignment or something else. Have a Slimeline SL3 to a HR22-100. Do I have to run 2 lines to the reciever or can i just use one? I used a signal meter to align the dish. Got a signal of a bout 9 on the meter but on the tv cant get any signal at all on all sats. What am I missing or what could be not working?

If it is SL3 then you need to run two lines. Make sure the dish is set right and use dishpointer.com for coordinates. You might be looking at the wrong bird.

So it wont worry at all if you run only one line to it. U have to use both? Cus in the past with other DVRs u can use just one line you just werent able to watch another channel if recording

1. Your mast needs to be plumb (level in both directions), or your dish settings are meaningless. Failure to plumb the mast is the most common reason for problems aiming the dish.
2. Once the mast has been plumbed, set the dish back to the default settings, based on putting your zip code in the receiver.
3. Get a compass and/or use http://www.dishpointer.com to find the correct azimuth. With DishPointer, you can zoom in to your house and move the pointer right where you'll be installing the dish.
4. Do not adjust the tilt of the dish at all. Start by adjusting azimuth (side to side), and then elevation. Make sure the lock-down bolts are loose before you start, or you'll break the fine-tuning adjustments.
