My Dishplayer (7000?- not sure of the model) seems to have all of a sudden lost the ability to send audio info to my receiver through the optical cable. Have tried swithciing out cables, but no change. I am able to use the analog RCA outputs to get sound, but HBO broadcasts in Digital Stereo do not get through. Any one else experienced this?
When I had a DP7100 here a couple of years ago the digital audio out would fail once in a while. Actually, I think the PCM stereo feeds would work OK but the DD wouldn't.
Anyway, I could fix it by either resetting the rcvr, going back into the set-up menu and unchecking & rechecking DD/PCM, or both.
do you mean the deal I had to go through last month to correct the "auto re boot loop" thing? I tried changing the PCM/ DD settings, and restarted the receiver both times. No luck so far...............................

Tried the resettings strategy, then plugged in the optical cable (one end was still undone as a result of my earlier frustration in trying to fix it!!;=))) and it works!! Thanks for the suggestions.
