Hey Gang,

Some months back, you guys helped me out with some equipment suggestions for my home and now it's time to buy.

I want to make sure I have this correct.

I'm going to end up with 8 tuners total distributed in this fashion:

Living Room - HD-DVR (two tuners)
HT Room - HD-DVR (two tuners)
Master Bedroom - Older SD DirecTivo (two tuners)
Kids Room 1 - Single SD Tuner
Kids Room 2 - Single SD Tuner

My various cable runs are going to exceed the recommended 100' Maximum length so in addition to the WB68 (http://www.solidsignal.com/prod_display.asp?PROD=WB68 ) to connect to all the receivers, I was advised to get a Sonora Power Inserter (http://www.solidsignal.com/prod_display.asp?prod=HRPID1422#MORE) as well.

Am I correct with those products to do what I want to do?

Just to add another option, the MS6X16WB, which isn't too much more than buying the two units you listed. Powered switch, so basically you're getting the same as the Sonora & WB68 but in one unit. Also, you'll have 8 more outputs for the future. If you're using solid copper RG6, >100' runs will not be a problem.

So this would be a better option if the difference in price isn't a problem? I can see where this would make a much MUCH simpler installation...

I would probably go that route as well.

The MS6x16WB is a powered MS that powers & controls the lnb instead of your irds much like the Sonora 1422 does. Cleaner install by not having jumper coax from unit to unit & gives 8 more outputs.

This is what I would purchase in your situation.
