Dishplayer 7200 problem

I have a dishplayer 7200 and a couple of months ago the thing just stopped working, and started giving me the following message:

"Your internet terminal needs to be repaired or replaced before you can connect to MSN TV service.

Contact the manufacturer's customer service department."

I also tried the procedures from dish with no luck: http://ben.reser.org/dishplayer/instructions-page1.gif

The hard drive does seem to be running a bit rough, so I am wondering if I just replace that and everything will work okay? Anyone else run into a similar problem?

Sounds like your hard drive might be going bad. Changing the hard drive is VERY easy. Here are the instructions:

I recommend using a Western Digital 5400 RPM drive. 7200 RPM drives run pretty hot and could fail unless you have external cooling.

i just got done installing a western digtial 40 gig hd and it is a definet improvemnet over preformance the system respons much faster also for a couple bucks a mounth you can get an extende warrenty on your system it will pay for it self when your system fails i should know i bought one used and had three go out one right after another and that message is probley nothing after trying to install my drive the system tried to dial out and i would recive the same message if your dirve is going to fail it will be suddend and catostrphic usually if the drive is going bad it will make a lot of noise more than usuall like squealling in my last system it started out very faint and grew increasingly louder over several days and the just quit working now it your system shuts down ocassionly or blanks out or you sudenly get a lavender screnn these are software bugs just unplug your system and wait this will solve 99.9% of the problems another bug is the fonts become blury or grabled and searching by catigory within movies becomes disabled either partially or compltely rarely with varity shows blame it on microsoft there aware of it and becuase of billys pariona they wont relesae the source code so some one else can fix it and they refuse to fix it them selves soory for my bad spelling it is 3 am my time
