January 14th Charlie Chat Discussion

Well, it's that time again. Should be an interesting chat with the announcements at CES. Betcha the Moxi will be a hot topic. Tune in at 9PM Eastern on Channel 101.

I would not be supprised of MOXI does not even get a mention. I am sure if any receiver is mentioned with will be the 508 and perhaps slightly on the 721.

Charlie will tell us to tune into next months Tech Chat if we want to know more.

It should be an interesting show to say the least.

I sure hope we get more info on the 721, I would still like to get one, if its not priced to high. I see Dish Depot has the preorder page back up again.

I already have a 501, so the 508 doesn't interest me that much.

Maybe we will get a date on the Interactive TV availability.

I sure hope Charlie doesn't "bash" the engineering staff, thats getting old too!:mad:

Tommorrows chat will probably feature merger talk, must carry and price increases, and of coarse info on CC auto pay and Jims reviews. No mention of Moxi or the 721.

You guys may be right. The DP won awards and also had a lot of hype generated during and after CES back in 1999. As I recall Charlie held a chat in February and didn't mention but instead opted to unveil it during the Tech Chat in March 99.

Hopefully Charlie will cut us all some slack and instead of the normally cheesy banter actually provide all of us a glimpse at the 721 as well as provide some additional Moxi info. J

Again I am sure Charlie will say something to the effect of

"As you know we introduced (again) our model 721 at the CES in Las Vegas, and while I would like to chat about them tonight we have so many other things to cover, for more information on the 721 check out next months tech chat, so now here is Laurie Farkus with information on Credit Card Auto Pay"
