Hughes receiver shuts down for 20 minutes every four hours

A local customer has a Hughes receiver that shuts down for 20 minutes every 4 hours. After 20 minutes the receiver comes back on Channel 100 and plays perfectly for another 4 hours. Also the test screen is blank so you can't read test options and results.Has been doing this for several months. Any suggestions on what could cause this.

If this has been going on for several months you are several months late in filing a warranty claim. You are probably out of warranty by now so good luck.

I believe the receiver is toast. How old is it??

I replaced the receiver on Monday. Hughes customer support is a joke. Customer also sent e-mail to Hughes stating her displeasure with the lack of customer service from the tech support people.
