Tivo R10 Recording

I have a Tivo R10 that has 2 coax lines ran into the reciever, but im not able to record a program while watching a different program.

Does anyone know if this model will allow me to watch a program while i record a program at the same time?

New to the DVR, so it could be that i just didn't set it up correctly.

Properly set up, you should be able to record two live programs and watch a third recorded program.

Somewhere in the guided setup there is an option for 1 or 2 cables connected. you need to make sure that 2 is selected and that both are direct runs from the MS/dish. You cannot use a splitter at the rcvr to acheive 2 cables.

Hey thanks for the help with that! I went through the steps like you posted and it works like a charm.

I knew it had something to do with the programming but didn't know where to even look.

Is there anything else these receivers do that might be worth knowing?

I was able to set it up properly from following directions in the post below, and was only able to record two programs. i had to watch one of the two programs i was recording though.
That's all i really was needing to do is record one show while i watch another!
