Best firmware to date...

In my opinion, the last firmware update 0x02CB for the HR2x has been the best firmware to date.

Both my HR21's performance have "significantly" improved. Navigating around the menu and guide is very speedy. It has never been this fast since I owned these DVRs (about 16 months now).

I hope everyone is having similar experiences.

I feel the same way as everything on my 4 HR2Xs is working great.

Other than the ongoing tuner 2 issue, I have had no new problems with this release. In fact, remote response seems to be a bit quicker.

Yes, it is. But my point was that after many updates for the past 16 months that I owned my HR21's, this has been the best in terms of stability and performance.

Most updates in the past did not improve my HR21s. Some updates decreased performance and stability.

I'm still waiting for 02cb. I never got 02ca so when DirecTV has that burp a couple of weeks ago, I ended up with 02b0. Which I believe has the same functionality as 02cb.

And, I guess I've been very lucky, as all previous updates have worked great for me. :)

The HR21-100, HR22-100 and R22-100s are receiving a newer update at this time ..

This has been the Worst update for me. My guide and Menu's are now super slow. I am getting a "Guide Data Load Error" followed by a reset every 2 days even though most of my signals are all in the 90's to 100's.
I have seen posts by many people who are having these same problems and we were not having them before this update.
BTW I use an HR20-100

My experience is the opposite. Before this update, my HR21's were as slow as a snail.

The HR21-100, HR22-100 and R22-100s are receiving a newer update at this time ..I guess I should have mentioned outside of my signature that I have the HR20-100.:)
