If I subscribe to Turbo HD and have any of these receivers 222/622/722 I understand on the 1st TV I get HD but what about the 2nd TV? TV2 is supposed to be SD, so is it useless having any of these receivers?
Turbo HD is a package of HD channels, all of them are viewable on sd tv's.

The 211 and 612 are HD receivers as well. If you want a second HDTV hook up, get another receiver. Get two 612's. Problem solved.

The receivers will simply convert any HD channels to SD for the TV2 output, so you can still watch all of the programming on the second TV, even the channels that are HD-only.
But as people convert their secondary TVs to HD, Dish's dual-output receiver model is becoming obsolete. And there's no reasonable way for Dish to distribute HD signals to remote TV2s, so the only solution for HD at every TV is for every TV to have its own receiver.
The 211 and the 612 are single-TV HD receivers (the 612 being an HD-DVR).
They have 2 hot HD outputs don't they?
TV2 may be SD, but if your 2nd tv is small and upconverts, you'll hardly notice a pic difference.
