Blue Button Remote for 508

I don’t remember this being asked before if it has I apologize if it has been discussed. I’m in the process of upgrading from my 4700 to a 508. :p I was wondering will the blue button UHF remote work with the 508. I know it won’t access all the PVR features but will I be able to use it for basic channel navigation form the bed room?
