I want more and more channels and good quality. Perhaps we can't have both. What is your view?

Hi Peter,

While we would all want more channels I think there gets to a point where people like to be able to see and tell what they are watching. :D

The 1st of the year was the worst picture quality I have EVER seen (and thats from Both DirecTV and Dish) I am happy to say things have improved a bit on both as well.

Better PQ, I used to want as many channels as possable, but now Id settle for just a one or two and better PQ. Once MTVX is added Ill stop griping about new channels. Last year E* added 2 REAL channels GAC and VH1-Classic.

Definitely better PQ. The quality on Dish right now is inexcusable. They should never have let it get this far. I just hope that the spot beams help.

Personally I want as many channels as possible. My PQ is excellent and compared to my Lifeline cable it is night and day. All I hear about is people complaining about PQ .. am I the only one that thinks PQ is excellent? I want every channel that's available and I am more than willing to pay for it. I didn't get into DBS for the cost .. I got into DBS for the flexibility of paying for any channels that I might want.

More channels. I still find most stations have good PQ.I feel like the poster above - am I the only one who still feels PQ is ok? I'm sure it must be relative. Our cable is FAR FAR FAR worse than the worst picture on Dish. No question some sports have too much pixelation (SP?) and at times the Denver Super Station is not that good, but overall I am satisfied.

Won't we be able to have both with spotbeam satellites? :)

For people with BIG screen TVs, PQ will never be good enough. Some others will always want more channels. There has to be a nice balance in this somewhere.

PQ is in the eye of the beholder. At Christmas I was at my dad's house (he has D*) and noticed there was a lot of pixelation on some channels. When I mentioned that, he couldn't see it, the picture was PERFECT.

I just want DVD quality picture on the channels I want to watch. That shouldn't be too hard, should it? :p

It's really sad. If you were to go back and search about my opinions on this in the past, you'd see that I thought Dish's PQ was far superior to AT&T Cable here in Denver. Well, now that I have mynew 51" HDTV, I very rarely watch anything off of Dish except for the 3 HD channels. If there's something on one of the networks that I have to see, I'll watch it on my old locals only cable that is still hooked up for my cable modem. Cable is now the superior picture far and above. What a shame...

I say we get rid of about 1/2 of the channels so the rest of them are watchable.
