Installing DP34

Okay.. I just installed a DP34 and now I have a problem... I'm trying to set up 3 recievers (all 301's) and while 2 of them are working, the last will only see the 119. What am I doing wrong?

What is up at the dish? A quad, twin or 2 singles? I am assuming they are dishpros.

Two thing you can try
1. After you complete the switch check on the problem receiver, tab over to the details portion. Here it will tell you exactly what port this receiver is attached to and if the connection is good.
I'm assuming everything is within stardard for DP (good RG6, good connectors, etc.)
2. Try swapping the non working receiver to another location that is working. IF the receiver remains non-working, the receiver is the problem. If it tests OK and gets all the channels, it could either be the switch (doubtful) or something with the wiring on that leg.

Let me add that it used to work fine.. I disconnected everything to move the Dish and when I put it all back that last receiver wouldn't work right.

I went out there and just changed around the cables going to the various recievers and then did check switches on all of them, and now they all work fine -- go figure!

bad coax connection on the wire that went to that receiver, when you moved the wires it got a good connection

Bad connector or a strand of braid on the outer shield was touching the center conductor

don't be surprised if it happens again, but it can be easily fixed by installing new connectors.
