I will be moving in September and will
not be able to use the above equipment.
Both Directv/Tivos have a lifetime contract.
Anyone interested ?

FYI, all lifetime tivos when transferred to a different owner lose their lifetime status and revert back to the $4.99/mo charge.

If you have a standalone tivo then the lifetime service is transferrable isnt it?

I don't know Jacob... only familiar with Directv's policies... checking TiVo's website is probably your best bet.

The DirecTivo's work different than the standalone Tivo's in that you dont purchase a lifetime subscription on a DirecTivo that I know of although I suppose that could be an option but its handeled more by DirecTv whereas the standalone Tivo's you can just sell them to someone else without anyone having your name, address, phone number, etc. so they would not know where they are at or who has them. I still think it requires a phone line connection for guide information though so thats the only way I would think they would know the phone number if they track where its at but I dont think they would have a reason to do that.
