HUH? I read through this article, and found that it lacked substance. Still, here goes...

Study Sees Hispanics Choosing Spanish TV

About half of Hispanic adults who watch television in English and Spanish said they are more likely to pay attention to candidates who speak to them in Spanish, according to a new study.

Bilingual TV viewers also were more likely to watch television news in Spanish — about 57 percent said they preferred to watch Spanish-language news, according to the study released Wednesday by the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute, based in Claremont, Calif.

Well...not too far off for me. I personally watch news in Spanish when possible. When Pres. Bush speaks in spanish (though a little broken), I tend to stop and listen more than when it's in English. And I cannot stand dubbed movies!

If memory serves me correctly, George W was the first president to converse with the Mexican president in Spanish.

The biggest problem I had with the article was how badly it was written. Was it a political piece on Hispanic voters, or was it a report on Hispanic TV households viewing habits?

Who was the genius that thought a study was needed to determine which language native spanish speakers would prefer to hear in their TV viewing.

Wonder how much they spent to find that out ;) We watch mostly spanish (although for news we watch Fox News or BBS World News).
