is there any of the jvc hd d-vhs owners out there...
i am picking up a unit next week and wanted to know a little about the toy!!!!!

If it's the 30000 model, I'd rush over to check out the HD recording forum at AVSForums to what you're going to be in for. There may be about 10% of them that haven't failed at this point. JVC does have a fix for it, but you have to send it to their service center in New Jersey when it fails.

If that's the model you're getting, I'm sorry to be a bummer. I hope you get one that doesn't fail.
