i'll try and get straight to the point. i subscribe to at200 (hd). there is a program on the upper tier Tuesday nite that i would really like to see. can a person upgrade to watch this program, then, downgrade immediately afterwards? and, if possible to do so, is there anything that i should be aware of---should i choose to go ahead with the plan?
btw, assuming i go this route, how long ahead of time should i notify dish that i would like to upgrade (to make sure i get the program in time)?
thanks for any help/suggestions.
If you upgrade you will pay a downgrade fee to move back to AT200.
To further support boba's comments, here's what the DISH Network website has to say:What is the procedure and cost of downgrading programming?
In order to remove or change programming, please contact our Customer Service Center at 1-888-284-7116. We are not able to remove or change services online or via email.
Please be advised that there is a $5.00 transaction fee for removing or changing (trading for a like-priced package) programming. The fee to remove or change adult programming is $10.00.

I have done this before without the downgrade fee with both Showtime and the AT250... you may not get hit with it. As far as I remember, the AT250 tier is treated like a premium channel...
Regardless, it may just cost you the $5 plus whatever it costs for the channels during that short amount of time.
I have made the changes from the web site and it happens right away but when you downgrade you are charged $5. I went from the Turbo Gold to Everything, then back and it was $5.
