I haven't heard very much about the forthcoming Blu-ray player from Vizio,but for $200,it doesn't sound like too bad of a buy. :)

This could be a winner for Vizio.
Key features of the Vizio VBR100:

* Profile 2.0 compatible
* Onboard Dolby TrueHD and DTS-Master Audio decoding
* 7.1 analog audio outputs
* Optical and coaxial digital audio outputs
* Available in April, $200 list price

With the 7.1 outputs, it could be used with older A/V receivers to get improved performance. Profile 2.0 is icing on the cake.

I've become somewhat of a Vizio fan, having a 37 inch Vizio 750p LCD TV in my bedroom. Seeing the new models at the big box stores alongside Sony, Samsung and other brands is impressive. Good bang for the buck.

If it had netfix streaming, it would be the perfect BD player

Calibrate all those sets and the story will be quite different.

I would anticipate that this Vizio BD player will do a good job with PQ/AQ on Blu Rays, but will suffer on SD DVD's.

Agreed, I have read multiple reveiws on the latest Vizio sets and the consensus seems to be that the Vizio is one of the best, if not the best calibrated sets out of the factory. But, a little tweaking on a Sammy or Sony and they will look better. Obviously for the money, Vizio is has become the best "bang for the buck" TV on the market.
