Lately I've been having a huge problem with the program guide for the NHL CI games only. All the regular channels seem to be fine. Is there a way to fix this, is it just me?

Lately I've been having a huge problem with the program guide for the NHL CI games only. All the regular channels seem to be fine. Is there a way to fix this, is it just me?

I've got the same Sony receiver I've had for 13 years of subscription. Direct has more or less given me the runaround when I ask if they're forcing me to buy a new or HD receiver. I just get the same canned responses that this is only happening to older receivers & I can find the games in the 600's. Fact is, I only get the Fox Net games and don't get any of the canadian (Rogers, TSN) games unless they're on 215.

Who do I talk to about this? Am definitely not getting my money worth from when I first subscribed to CI. I don't want HD because of cost and the fact I don't see as good as I used to (!). Seems to me they should replace the receiver I bought if they're changing their delivery method.

Call back DirecTV. Your old Sony Receiver can no longer handle all of the Guide Data, so some channels have been removed from your Receiver's Guide. You should be able to get it a newer replacement.

thanks for the info. suspected as much. can you give me a heads-up on who to talk to? whether I e-mail or call, rarely I get someone a) from this continent or b) who knows anything near correct.

will having their protection package help me more? am I gonna need a new dish? any idea on cost? hope you don't mind the q's, 'cuz most people here seem to know the straight stuff better than D*
