Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do existing customers go about getting the HD only and dropping the SD channels?

And does anyone know what the price difference would be? Would HD only be worth the switch?

Thanks

call 800-333-DISH, or go to dishnetwork.com and login to your account and select your package.

The HD only packages start at $29.99 and go up to $49.99. There is a $10 add-on pack w/ additional HD channels as well.

go to http://dishnetwork.com/packages/programming/default.aspx

you can see the various packages.

you'll have to look at what each package offers to see if it has the channels you want.

If you don't already have an HD capable receiver, you'll need one of those as well. You will need to contact dish network to see what the cost may be to upgrade.

Is there a page that list all of the channels you get with the different turbo packages....It only reads that you get 50 channels with the bronze, 60 with silver, etc...I want to know all the channels I would be receiving....

yes; go to the link i provided.

on the icons of the turbo packages, there is a link you can click that says "view all channels" or something like that.

it takes you here >> http://dishnetwork.com/turbohd/programming/default.aspx

that lists all the HD channels included. under the bronze package, for example, it lists about 24 channels. The other 26 are PPV, and SD shoppping channels; things of that nature.

I've got all the HD channels already..just not in HD only pricing, also have the HD PVR. I have the Classic Gold 250, gold hd and the platinum HD.

Is there a big price drop to go HD only?

You would see a minimum decrease in your bill of $20/mo if you went turbo.

If it matters to you, dropping 250 w/ goldHD for turbo would leave you w/o fox news HD and fox business HD.
