I dont know if anybody is familier with the NRTC (National Rual Telecomunications Cooperative) but I live in a town that is served by it and I am wondering if the process of getting a DIRECTV system and programming would be any different (more or less expensive, specific place where you get hardware and programming, ect). than a town that is not served with the NRTC.

Thanks!

If you get the system at a brick and mortar store, you will be able to get all the great deals and prices. However, you will not be able to get the great deals on the internet.

Once you get it set up, you just call your NRTC affiliate(in my case, Pegasus) and they will set you up with programming. The channels are the same, however, in my case, the cost is $2 MORE a month, than if I went directly thru Directv. This aggravates me to no end, but there is not much you can do.
