Has anyone seen this channel show any 24 episodes other than seasons 4 and 5? To me this channel has been a big disappointment.

I agree with you. It's a lot better than what it used to be. The HD is great unfortunately we only get Dolby Prologic instead of DD 5.1:mad:

What package is this in? ( Just the premier ) I have choice plus hddvr and was noticing when setting up my customized channel guides that I don't get this channel. Seems as if it is not desirable anymore by your guy's comments

I used to watch the channel when Directv first added it. It became boring to me when C&I showed the same identical previews over and over and over again. Is it still the same way?

It is. You can watch a one hour show and see all their previews. If you want to watch back-to-back shows, its a safe bet you'll see the same previews.

CI is crud. Dish put CI in Platimum which costs $10 Per month. They can keep it. BETJ, MGMHD, WFN, UNIHD are in that tier.

I will be droping the HD Extra pack in a few days before my monthly bill comes out again. I kept it this last month and found myself only watching Becker on Friday's on one of the stations. Not work $5 a month when Becker is also on EGN everyday. Nothing else has really seemed to grab me. I wanted to watch Nash Bridges but I dont like to start any show except at the very beginning. So I need to get some discs off of Netflix first and they have not sounded that good lately. So Bye Bye HD Extra Pack. Maybe if they add some more decent channels that do something for me then I might add it back. Until then I think I am going to have to pass.

Since several British mystery series (Poirot, Midsomer Murders, etc.) had been shown previously on some of the other A&E channels, I hoped they would return on C&I, but nothing so far.

Weird. They're censoring it? AT&T U-verse had CI in thier SD tier back in November. I cancelled U-verse TV due too poor equipment.

CI content looks like mostly reruns of shows that ran on Discovery and A&E from 2001 to 2005.

A waste of space!

Bring on the Documentary channel.

CI is not intended to be a premium channel, DirecTV and Dish may be selling it that way, but it's a normal channel like it's sister channels A&E and History. Dish Network and DirecTV don't offer the channel in SD, even though AETN puts out an SD feed of CI so each provider puts it in their respective 'HD Only' package. I get CI HD at no additional change with Time Warner, even though they don't offer the SD feed either, same goes for Hallmark Movie Channel HD. Verizon and AT&T are the only two MSOs I know of that carry the SD version of CI.
