I have an older SD Tivo that for the longest time only had 1 cable run into it. Recently I moved stuff around the house and in that room I can now have 2 runs into it. I used an extra coax cable I had laying around the house and plugged that into it. However my problem is I apparently have a bad coax cable. One cable doesn't have any problems, but the other I will get a searching for satellite message. If I swap the cables the problem follows the "bad" coax.
So my question is since I have the protection plan, does that cover replacing coax cables?
I would think that it does.
But I noticed from your setup that you are using a multiswitch so is there a possibility that it is causing the problem?

I think I changed the output's on the multiswitch also, but I can't remember. I'll have to check it later tonight.

Are there any kinks in the cable? And that cable does run directly to the multi-switch (no splitters, etc.) right? I would also check the connections on each end, make sure they are tight and clean and no stray wire threads, and such.

Yes, it involves repairing or replacing existing cables. It does not cover adding new cables.
