Got my son an iPod and have been buying songs for him, 29 so far. If I went out and got one for me, would I have to buy all the songs again, or can I put the ones I bought already, on my iPod?

As mentioned they stay on your accounts library.

You can either:
Load your new iPod from the same computer he does (and you'll end up with everything he has on his)

or

Install itunes on another computer, but enter the same login and password to itunes when propmted (you're enabled up to 5 computers on a simgle account for authorization), and it will pull down all your paid content and load it to your iPod as well.

Both ways accomplish the same thing; however any other content he has ripped from a cd or off the net will only be loaded from his computer if they weren't origionally purchased via iTunes. so methos 1 if possible is probably your best solution.

Or you can get a program called tuneplus and transfer songs from one ipod to another ipod...if you download songs from torrent sites.

If they are iTunes Plus (DRM-free), then it doesn't matter; they will play anywhere.

Or don't use iTunes at all and use Amazon's mp3 download service to get DRM free music which will still be compatible with iTunes - you just have to associate the folder you download to with iTunes.

You can put them on both iPods at no additional cost. Purchase the song once and download to all your iPods.

Just set itunes to manual, hook up your ipod, drag the song to your ipod and it should be on there....from itunes.
