I have 2 recivers in my living room. A HR-200 and a standard reciever. I want to up grade the standard one to another HD DVR. Does Directv charge to install when you upgrade. The standard reciver only has one tuner and the new HR DVR has two and I need to run another cable line. I was just wondering, I thought they cam with a free install. I am not for sure if I can do it myself, is it hard?

You could probably run the line yourself without too much trouble; your dish's LNB will have one available port (4 total), so you'd just need to run a second cable from that.
Most upgrades require an installation charge these days unless you do the upgrade your self, but it never hurts to call DirecTV and ask.
One alternative is to pick up the HD-DVR from Costco or Best Buy. Costco usually has them for $169, which is $30 off of standard price. DirecTV may be able to give you a better deal on the lease price, but it may or may not require installation. Give them a call and see what they can do for you. Offers differ from one account to another, with the biggest 2 factors being:
- Paying your bill in full before the due date for the last year
- At least 6 months since your last promotion, upgrade, or credit.
Folks who meet the above requirements will usually get a deal.
